That's because fat in the abdominal area works differently from fat elsewhere in your body. It has a larger blood supply as well as more receptors for cortisol, a stress hormone. Your cortisol levels naturally rise and fall during the day, but when you're under constant stress the amount of the cortisol you produce continues to be high. With high stress and high cortisol levels, more fat is deposited on your waistline since there are more cortisol receptors there than anywhere else.
But belly fat is not the only price you'll pay for chronic stress. Continued high cortisol levels also destroy neurons in your brain and interfere with your feeling good neurotransmitters. This can lead to depression and feeling more stressed.
So our first tip to getting rid of stubborn abdominal fat is; reduce your stress levels! Now that's not too hard is it? You can do this through relaxation techniques, listening to music or meditation. Do not comfort eat though, even though that may be you usual behavior. A cookie or two, or three may temporarily reduce stress your levels but that won’t be helping to lose your belly fat!

Do I Have To Diet?
Well no.... and yes. Your diet does directly affect the fat levels in your body, so you do need to think about what you're eating. The biggest culprit to packing on the lbs is refined sugar! Cut that down (or even out) and the fat will melt away. In it's various forms, it's everywhere you look.
This refined sweetener is like a laser guided missile that's targeted to hit you right around the belly .Every time you consume it you can rest assured, it's headed straight for your abs. Not the idea route to the six pack you were hoping for!
It's the number one ingredient of choice contained in all processed foods.Manufacturers place it there to get you hooked on their foods. It is called many different names, but usually high fructose corn syrup. Keep an eye out for labels that say 'fructose'. This means sugar! You also want to reduce processed carbohydrate. These are found in the yummy stuff like white bread, muffins and cakes. These also contain sugar so avoiding them will help you avoid adding belly fat. Try eating more coarse grains like brown rice, or barley. You can eat them with your favorite healthier meals. For example, sprinkle your bread with oats or add some brown rice in your cooking. This adds flavor as well as giving you good nutrition.
Also avoid eating late at night. When you go to sleep your metabolism slows down so that meal you just ate will be stored as fat - probably around your abdomen! Finish eating at least three hours before going to sleep, so that you have a chance to digest your meal.

Contrary to popular belief, the best way to lose stubborn abdominal fat is not to do more abdominal exercise, but to do more cardiovascular exercise. Aerobic exercise is an excellent method of burning fat. Its the best fat burning exercises for women as well as men.Jogging, hiking, bicycling, walking and elliptical exercise are all great fat burners.
The problem is that most people stop too early in their fat burning workout. For the first ten minutes of aerobic activity, glycogen (stored carbohydrates) is your primary fuel source.
Because you don't burn significant amounts of fat until glycogen stores are depleted, the key to maximum fat loss is to work out aerobically for thirty to sixty minutes continuously per session. Don't worry though every workout should be easy, like strolling around the shopping mall for an hour can be beneficial, who said shopping was bad for you!I Want to lose weight now.
